With his curly hair and boyish good looks, Jasper Erkens could easily fill in for Luke Pritchard in The Kooks, should it be necessary. That is, if it wasn't for Jasper's measly 17 years of age and his own career as a singer/songwriter.
And what career it is! Second place in Humo's Rock Rally, debut album (March 2009) and 3 singles (‘Waiting Like A Dog’, ‘Stay Alive’ and ‘The Brighter Story’) at number 1 in Studio Brussels' De Afrekening, a status as the youngest artist ever at Rock Werchter, and 3 TMF Awards in the pocket! And all that in little more than a year (at the time of Rock Rally he was only 15), at an age most others dream about their first scooter.
